In general, each semester of a course offered in the high school is worth 0.5 credits; a year-long course is worth 1 credit. The student must successfully complete the course in order to earn the credit. In order to graduate, a student must earn a minimum total of 25 credits according to the following guidelines:

English/ESL
4 credits
Mathematics
4 credits
Science
4 credits
History
4 credits
Modern Languages: Italian, French, IFL
4 credits
Electives (i.e. Technology, Art, Music, Film or Options from Other Subjects)
5 credits
TOTAL
25 credits

In all cases, an ISG Diploma cannot be issued unless the final requirements for grades 11 and 12 are met. These include the completion of the grades 11 and 12 requirements for CAS, TOK, and an Extended Essay.
