The Middle School program at ISG aims to support students in their successful transition from Elementary to High School. In Grades 6-8, we strive to provide students with opportunities to develop their self-directedness by providing choices within the curriculum, supporting both collaborative and independent study habits, and promoting extracurricular opportunities. The staff sees the middle years as an exciting, dynamic moment during which students are cultivating life-long learning practices, developing their social interactions, and maturing as integral parts of their community.

The Middle School curriculum comprises a range of core subjects as well as elective courses. Students have the opportunity to select classes that prepare them the take the Italian state exams. They also have several options for electives within the arts. All courses include a range of activities and assessments that are designed to allow every student to learn and demonstrate that learning in a variety of ways. Our energetic, robust learning environments are differentiated with the intention of helping each student to reach his or her full potential.
